Rebekah has a BA in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Iowa (2003) and a Master's of Science in Communication from Northwestern University (2009).
She has been working in the ARL since 2006, handling the day-to-day
functions of the lab, as well as long-term project planning. She is interested in finding solutions
to the managerial and communication challenges unique to science and academia.
Salvador Aguinaga, BS

Sal has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Northern Illinois University.
For over 12 years, he worked in industry at companies such as US Robotics, 3Com, and Motorola.
Prior to working in the ARL, he also worked in the Dallos Lab investigating electrical characteristics of prestin and its interaction with other molecules.
He now works on software and hardware tools for HARP and the ARL.

Rachael received received her B.S. from Miami University (Ohio) and came to Northwestern University in 2008.
Currently, she is investigating spontaneous otoacoustic emissions in humans and characterizing their behavior in various environments.
Rachael's primary research goal is to gain a greater understanding of how the auditory system relates to cardiovascular health.asdfasdf
Chun Liang Chan, MS

Chun pursued his undergraduate studies at University Putra, Malaysia in Music Technology, and continued in the same field as the
focus of his graduate studies at Northwestern University.
He currently serves as tech support staff with labs in the fields of Audiology, Linguistics and Speech Physiology, focusing on web development and database design.
Chun's goal is to create software that makes it easy for researchers to leverage the power of computing technology to accomplish their research goals.
Ryan Deeter

Ryan is a junior in the McCormick School of Engineering, majoring in Mechanical
Engineering. He has been working in the ARL since the fall of 2007,
focusing on the efferent system. Ryan began a co-op work program with
Etymotic Research, Inc in the summer of 2009. Upon graduation, he plans to continue studying the
auditory system from an engineering perspective.
Sumitrajit Dhar, PhD

Sumit was educated at the Mumbai University, India, Utah State University, and Purdue University.
Prior to joining the faculty at Northwestern University, he was on the faculty at Indiana University,
Bloomington. Sumit's primary research interest is in applied cochlear mechanics. As time permits he
tries to continue to work in the areas of speech perception in noise and amplification devices.

Evan is a student in the AuD program at Northwestern University currently interning at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL.
He has a BS in Neuroscience from Lafayette College (2005). Prior to coming to school at NU, he spent two years working as a research assistant for the surgery department at
Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, NY. His research interests include otoacoustic emissions and auditory processing.

Jungmee Lee, PhD

Jungmee Lee has a Bachelors in Psychology from Seoul National University, South Korea
and a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from University of Florida.
Prior to joining HARP, she was on faculty at University of Arizona. Her research focuses on
how the auditory system processes temporal changes in sound (i.e. speech) for normal hearing and hearing impaired populations.
She is also interested in combining behavioral and physiological measures (i.e. OAE, ABR) to understand human auditory function.
